FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Combs to Begin Cross Country Trip in LSA
Riverside, CA - Pilot Michael Combs will take off from Flabob Airport (KRIR) on Wednesday to begin another cross country trip in his Remos Light Sport Aircraft. He anticipates touching down in Lakeland, Florida around March 27th where his aircraft named "Hope One" will be on display.
"I am very excited to fly onward," said Combs from his Lake Dallas, TX office. "This flight has been a source of inspiration to many, many people...and there will be a large following as we fly onward again. There is something about the Flight for the Human Spirit that has really touched a lot of lives."
Combs took off last April from Salina, KS with the goal of touching down in all fifty states and flying more than 19,400 miles. To date, he has successfully landed at 152 airports in 49 states, only Hawaii remains. "We are seeking sponsors, donors, employers, anyone with ideas on how we can raise the rest of those funds," said Combs. "I'm even offering to work for a company until we have the necessary monies to complete this amazing flight. Until then, I will continue to speak anywhere that I can, and encourage others to follow their dreams."
Since landing in Riverside, Combs has been writing his latest book entitled, "The Flight for the Human Spirit" and has nearly completed a new album of instrumental music which is slated to be released within the next two months. He has endeavored to bring the world of aviation to other communities which even included speaking at the Dallas Museum of Art. There is an exhibit that is being prepared which will not only feature his original artwork, but will also showcase his aircraft.
"I'm using aviation in a unique way to encourage people to follow their own dreams. By incorporating my artwork, music, and books into the aviation world, I am showing that aviation is not only touchable, but it's also alive!"
