Hope One to Fly Onward
With the winter months falling behind, we are looking ahead to The Flight for the Human Spirit this year. As you can see from the website: www.FlightHS.com Hope One is hangared at Flabob Airport in Riverside, CA. My sincere THANKS go out to the staff at Flabob for their help and generosity to put Hope One in such a beautiful hangar and to keep her safe.
It was our sincere hope to get to Hawaii and finish the 50th state in style, but unfortunately the funds aren't quite there, so we are flying onward in order to continue to spread the message that it's never EVER too late to follow your dreams. With nearly 24,000 miles and 152 stops behind us, it seems like a relatively small task to make that last several thousand mile journey across the Pacific...but raising the necessary $20,000 is a reality that can not be ignored. Those funds don't cover our personal transportation, meals or lodging while we are there...that is simply the cost of getting Hope One aboard a cargo ship, and back. My reward will be to see how we can help the fine people of Hawaii with this flight as well as the inspiration that it will bring to many more around the world when we touch down in Honolulu..
With that said, rather than stay on hold...let's continue to bring the world of aviation into the public eye and light up some more hearts. We've already reached over 23 million people with The Flight, so we have now upped our goal to 50 million. If you've been following along, then you already know that we are receiving reports from those around the world who are finding purpose in their lives and beginning to follow their own dreams. Our fans are now in flight schools, building airplane projects, and getting out to enjoy the world of aviation..
During March, Hope One will take off from California for another coast to coast flight that will include several stops. First we'll briefly stay at our home base in Denton, TX to get her polished up and evaluate the systems for the upcoming world record setting attempts. Then off to Arkansas to have the Remos team inspect and certify her for another year of flight. It will be great to see how the REMOS has held up to flying the distance of further than around the world.
At the end of March, Hope One will be on display at Sun n Fun in Florida. I've got several speaking events scheduled and would love to meet you while we're together. Stop by the REMOS booth to see this amazing Light Sport Aircraft as well. You'll be amazed at how Hope One still looks brand new and ready to fly across the country again and again. It has been a flawless aircraft built with care and unparalleled craftsmanship. It is a fine ambassador to not only show how touchable the world of aviation is to a greater audience, but also how it can connect us all in deeper ways.
