Cross Country Trip to Begin Wednesday
Hope One is scheduled to fly out of California on Wednesday the 9th. This will mark the beginning of a cross country trip that will end in Lakeland, Florida around the 27th of March.
Flight day 45 and 46 will be practice runs for the upcoming world record attempts that will take place in a few months. They will be different from other flight days that you saw with The Flight for the Human Spirit in that they will comprise what I refer to as "Flat Out Flying." In other words, the emphasis will be placed on time in the air, versus stops along the way. Watch here for the exact route and estimated departure times.
The current forecast in Riverside, CA on Wednesday is for mist that should break between ten AM and one PM. The forecast high in the Los Angeles area is 79. Winds should be favorable for an easterly flight over the desert southwest.
First stop will be Coolidge, AZ then a stop for the evening in El Paso, TX. Flight Day 46 will begin in El Paso, with a fuel stop in Midland, TX and a final stop at our home base in Denton, TX. There is a two day window of calm air forecast that ends on Friday with high gusts anticipated in the Dallas area.
As always, you can follow The Flight live with SpiderTracks Satellite Tracking on our website: www.FlightHS.com
This will be a solo flight to Texas so I'll be posting updates and photos on Facebook as connectivity will allow. Also during the next leg of The Flight we will cross the 24,000 mile marker and Denton will be the 156th landing.
This is an incredible journey that I am very ...very Thankful to have you a part of. Together we are helping to light up hearts and inspire others to live their lives with meaning and purpose by following their own dreams.
Please pass this news along to as many as you can.
Take care, and I'll see you in the sky!
