FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Combs to Speak at AOPA Summit
Long Beach, CA - Pilot Michael Combs will speak at the AOPA Summit this Saturday afternoon. Combs has successfully flown his Remos GX Light Sport Aircraft into 49 states and upon touching down in Long Beach Tuesday morning, he had officially covered more than 23,740 miles. As a unique event, his aircraft "Hope One" is on display at the Long Beach Convention Center in the Remos Aircraft Booth. "It's great to see the look on everyone's face as they see Hope One on the Convention Center floor," said Combs. "So many people at Summit recognize the logo and know about The Flight, but they are surprised to see the actual aircraft that has flown so far."
Combs will be speaking on "How to Reach Within Yourself to Accomplish Whatever You Want in Life." To know his own personal story is to appreciate his message to others. Not only did The Flight for the Human Spirit begin with a single dream, but Combs has recovered from a serious illness that required him to learn the power of positive mental attitudes and never giving up...no matter what. His message that it's never EVER too late to follow your dreams has now reached over 22 million people. "That's 22 million lives who have seen Hope One and heard about this mission," said Combs. "It's very humbling to think about how far we have come with this incredible flight."
Combs will return to his Lake Dallas office next week in order to complete the plans for the final flight legs in Hawaii. He is seeking sponsors who want to put their logo on an aircraft this is destined to be placed in a museum.
